Apex is hiring an experienced Debt Originator who has personally sourced and closed commercial financing. You'll bring financing opportunities through borrower and referral relationships, working with our team on lender matching and execution.
\n \nApex ( matches financing opportunities with private credit lenders. This role covers commercial real estate, corporate debt and specialty finance, and suits someone with a clear track record of finding borrowers and getting deals placed.
\n \nWhat you'll do
\n \n• Develop borrower and referral relationships, and source new financing opportunities.
\n• Understand each borrower's financing need and gather enough information to qualify the opportunity.
\n• Work with Apex's team on lender selection and borrower follow-up as deals progress.
\n• Manage your origination pipeline and maintain the borrower relationship through closing.
\n \nWhat we're looking for
\n \n• Experience originating or arranging debt at a brokerage, lender, bank or debt advisory firm, with recent transactions you personally sourced and helped close.
\n• Direct borrower or referral relationships, with a realistic plan for bringing financing opportunities to Apex.
\n• An understanding of financing structures and how to assess whether a request is ready for lenders.
\n• The ability to qualify opportunities independently and enough availability to manage your pipeline and borrower follow-up.
\n \nWorking with Apex
\n \nThis is a remote, US-only independent contractor role, starting with a paid retainer. The retainer amount and scope of work will be agreed before the engagement begins.
\n \nYou'll work alongside Apex's team on lender matching and transaction execution, with your role focused on originating business and maintaining borrower relationships. There may be an opportunity to move into a full-time role depending on performance and mutual fit.
\n \nFinancing focus
\n \nOpportunities may include commercial real estate acquisition and refinancing, construction loans, equipment and asset-based financing, and corporate growth or acquisition debt.
